The Strada is our Junior Line. It has a domed sapphire crystal and is treated with an anti reflective coating on the inside! All stainless steel case (316L) a grade of stainless steel used in surgical equipment and very resistant to salt water and other acids. We can't produce a better casing in this price range. We are pretty proud of that.

We have 5 different styles: yellow - the one you see here, orange, blue, white and green. The colours are typical classic style car colours.

Packaged with an extra leatherband in the colour of the watch - typically with our trademark holes in the band. You even get a tool to change your band depending on your mood. We can't offer you a more complete package.

But what we really want to know is... are we on the right track?? We love it but do you?? Let us know!!! Thanks!!

No, you are not on the right track. The Strada is nice enough I suppose, but I've seen this watch a thousand times. Tag, Junkers and Oris all make very similar watches with very similar funtions. There is nothing wrong with your design, but there isn't anything that great about it either. There are a lot of things you'll need do to make this piece stand out from the crowd a bit, but I'm affraid it requires you starting all over again. I wouldn't buy the Strada in it's current form.

  • maybe not?! | By: david on 09-11-2011 14:23:06:
My love for classic cars is closely linked to my fascination with watches since I come from a family of watchmakers. There are hundreds of watches that look just like this one...or similar. why not do something that is truly in "The Original Spirit"..for inspiration look at vintage Breitling!
  • could be a flyer watch | By: Louis on 09-11-2011 15:33:30:
This watch is too simple, I do not like the big numbers and the large needles. The bracelet looks sporty, but the rest of the watches does not remind me vintage races at all. I would say that the previous watches were better. I would expect something close to a mille miglia from Chop...
  • My honest opinion | By: henk van hoek on 09-11-2011 15:51:52:
I bought one of the first watches you produced, it works stillvery goood, i like it a lot. As i have read earlier, it looks nearly te same. I thought the helmet with googles is one of your trademarks. Would it be an idea you place it on your watch
  • Nice... | By: Dan on 09-11-2011 16:07:02:
It looks fun, I like it. I thought maybe the font used for the tachymeter is making it look a bit more modern than it should - its a different font to the rest of the watch no?

Thank you all for your inputs. It gives us a clearer idea of what to make. I do however have to comment on some. Before I do please take into account that this is a Junior Line - which basically means that it is positioned under our other watches. That they look similar to eachother is great in our eyes. There are thousands of watches and thousands of tastes.@Ben - I've tried searching for some tags, junkers and orisses that come close but could not find any. Honestly Junkers comes closer then the other two but still... can you send me some?? @David - if I make a vintage Breitling everyone is gonna say - you made a vintage breitling - don't get me wrong I really like vintage breitlings but just like the cars I'm not willing to copy... @ Louis - I like simple, I do like the big numbers and I think the hands actually are in balance with the dial. The dial corresponds to the dial of our car and not so much to vintage racing although that does come close. The thing is I don't want to be like chopard. @ Dan yeah thats correct - but with that in mind we are creating the junior line - is also a bit of a younger line - more sporty, classic but modern... and fun! @ Peter 1. the holes in the strap is like our steering wheel - sorry but you can always buy yourself another strap - they are staying.... for good. 4. is a nice idea but also asks a lot of attention to the logo and we like it to be simpel and clean and not too much in your face if you know what I mean. 42.5mm is indeed large for my wrist too, but a lot of people are quite happy with 42.5mm. for the juniors we opted for a larger case... I have some others that are 40mm coming soon. 7. Mechanical would be great but allas budgets don't allow. Your welcome to fund of course!! But you are right preferably mechanical. Please don't get us wrong we really appreciate positive and constructive feedback - so keep it coming!!
  • Not bad | By: Ilias Bisias on 09-11-2011 18:40:42:
It doesn't look bad. The case could be a bit different from your first one, the size of the case as well. The mechanism should be automatic. Try with two small dials than three.
  • nice attempt | By: Addy on 09-11-2011 19:16:54:
Mooi, maar mist iets imho. Persoonlijk denk ik dat ie mooier wordt met een carbon wijzerplaat en twee vertikale racing stripes erop ala Gulf, en dan aub ook in twee verschillende kleuren en verschillende breedtes.En een zwart geanodiseerde kast

  • A couple of small suggestions | By: snerty on 10-11-2011 10:14:06:
I tend prefer a very simple aesthetic, so this watch is a bit too "loud" and busy for my tastes. However I do have a couple of comments for your consideration:1) All of the text on the dial is light text on a dark background except for the date wheel. Changing the date wheel to also be light text on dark background may help it blend in better and not visually unbalance the dial quite so much.2) The shade of yellow used for the numerals does not seem to match with the shade used on the edges of the subdials. Is that intentional? Personally I feel that having two different shades of the same colour on the same dial looks a bit odd.
  • @Snerty | By: Tino Huet on 10-11-2011 11:03:51:
Thanks for your input Snerty, 1) Alas we are limited in this option. 2) The shade is one and the same. The strada dial is actually all matt - the hands are also matt - although in the picture they look shiny. The subdials are all etched down slightly which is also not very visible in the photo and have a contrast colour dark grey. The 12, 3, 6 and 9 are superimposed. The strada logo is designed with roads in mind. You can see the roundabouts in the ada...

Nice watch but it definitely needs a big Date @12 and the size of the case should go up to 46mm, also the numeric should be 12,3,6,9 i guess that will give it a better look.
  • Love it-make it | By: Jeff DeBoer on 10-11-2011 18:34:48:
Great sporting design with a cool vintage feel. I'd wear it every time I take our Healey for a drive....I'd buy it.
  • Few changes | By: Alexander on 11-11-2011 02:10:09:
It would be nice to see a bit longer hour and minute dial ! (too short)A more impressibe trigger would be nice as well.Regards,Alexander
  • changes | By: dominic on 11-11-2011 04:34:36:
I agree, great marketing overall! Regarding the watch...I like larger case at 44mm (do not wear smaller). The watch has a slightly pilot/fleiger feel to it and these watches are generally larger cased -it would be interesting to consider a 44mm or even 46mm case. Love the overall simplicity but feel the dial could be a little more minimalist with numerals only at 12, 3, 6 and 9 ...simple batons for the other hour markers. I also feel the crown and the pushers look too small for the case. Finally perhaps a bund strap option as well!

  • Thoughts.. | By: Winderz on 13-11-2011 10:14:49:
Looks good-nice one. I wonder if you could make the smaller numbers (1,2,4,5 etc) even smaller and allow the date window to appear less lost? Also, could the 'Strada' logo be slightly bigger (lots of white space at the top there).
  • Price | By: Tino Huet on 13-11-2011 17:46:42:
Thanks for all your input. About larger casings... sorry no go. Our wrists are not that big and we personally think that a 46mm is way over the top... sorry. @Roberto - nice surname - where are you from? The price is still not 100% sure but we are trying to keep it under 210 euro's incl 19%VAT. That's a hard bargain I can tell you.
